Pictures from our STEMing engagement with the youths at Frontline Toronto on 18 October, 2018. During this workshop, we explained the chemistry behind the making of ice cream: emulsion, foam and the effect of salt on ice. Then, attendees invented their ice cream using provided apparatus and reagents and got to taste their products (Yum Yum)
We believe that immediate problems can be solved by our youths using available raw materials. Therefore, we are happy to teach our youths about practical science that is useful for and applicable to their daily lives. Frontlines Toronto has been a safe space engaging the minds of our youths for many years and we are glad to be a part of this progressive community.
