Dr. Adeola Olubamiji, the founder of STEMHub Foundation, has been invited to be a panelist at the 25th Nigerian Economic Summit tagged  “Nigeria 2050: Shifting Gears”.

Dr. Olubamiji will be speaking at a round table panel discussion titled “Incentivizing Investments in Research and Development” on the 7th of October 2019 which will host key educational stakeholders in Nigeria.
The United Nations estimates that Nigeria’s population will double. Combined with data which shows a rising incidence of unemployment and underemployment.

Therefore, this year’s summit will set a new agenda for Nigeria to usher in the next industrial revolution and mark a critical strategic shift to a competitive private sector economy by 2050 through a renewed focus on investments in human capital development to achieve competitiveness and inclusive growth.

“I am extremely humbled to be able to represent the industry, Nigerians in diaspora and the Nigerian youth in this discussion. On the education front, we must prioritize restructuring of curricula to offer skills that align with the “future of work”, invest in policy and legislative framework with a focus on Industry-4.0-driven research & development (R&D), promote R&D inspired entrepreneurship and foster attraction of investors and new companies to Nigeria.  We must also strategize on how to bridge the gap to tap into the knowledge of Nigerians in the diaspora”.

The Nigerian Economic Summit is scheduled to hold between October 7th and 8th 2019 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
